Hello. I've recently realized that using a desktop shortcut to launch my game with affinities to only my P-cores interferes with my DLC, so I have to use the Paradox Launcher to play with my DLC activated. The problem is, my E-Cores are still causing the game to crash after the first week or two of gameplay. It does this consistently, but it does not crash when I manually disable all but my first 8 cores. This is problematic. I don't want to disable the cores in my BIOS, but I also do not want to have to manually disable my E-cores every time I launch the game. Is there another solution to this problem?

The e-cores issue should be solved now, assuming you are on the latest game patch. I suspect your problem is elsewhere.

Right click on victoria3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.

If those don't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/pdx_settings.json .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.log

It is 100% the E-Cores. I crash every time with all of my cores enabled immediately, and I do not crash when I manually disable them.

I am fully updated on windows update and I have the most recent Victoria 3 patch.

As you have an MSI MB/bios, you very likely have the CPU/bios/AVX2 issue discussed here:

Hopefully those steps will help you as they have others. Good luck!

I see. Please post in that thread to get more knowledgeable help on that process, the use who discovered this issue @TheOriginalKage has been very helpful there!
