Editing Core Provinces

Communist China was annexed early on in the game I'm playing, in an odd event (i assume) where Nationalist China annexes all the minor Chinese factions as it progressively loses worse and worse to Japan.

Now, I'm trying to release Communist China, and it's released as a country without cores in Manchuria, Sinkiang and Tibet. Why is this, and how can I edit those cores back to the original ones?

you can edit it in db/revolt. not whole china is core of of nat and com if you release it.
