I get an error like "Error: (Unknown type in Land Division) 'Speed_cap_art = 5' line = 16 file = db\units\infantry.txt" If I click ignore then it comes up with another error. I'm running 1.6... please tell me I don't have to reinstall.

That is a known bug. See this bug report-->

If you ask some of the hardcore fans of the game, they will not give much for the editor anyway. They use text-editors or own tools instead. Me, I think it is obvious this is just too big bug and must be fixed. The editor is part of the deal, regardless of how good it is.

I'm sure it will be fixed. It seems pretty obvious to me that there was some kind of version-control problem: they probably applied some change to the editor but used an old version of the source code instead of the most recent.

It happened to me early in the beta as well, never was fixed for my version, but I guess the retail one had it fixed but the latest patch must have messed things up again.
As long as the Bug forum knows about it that is all we can do.
I do know that I had logged it in Mantis a long time ago but I guess when it apeared to work with release version it was ignored.

Any way it is a bug forum issue now.
