- Merging of upbringing and education systems
- 6900: checks for and adds the education traits instead of the former signifiers
- 6900 now fires for children that are 4+ years old (instead of 1+ as before).
- With the modifiers from the bastard education event implemented in the automatic education system, there is no real point in keeping it; bastard event 8528 has been deleted.
- 6901d: gives lisp, removes parental upbringing and gives court education
- 6902d: removes parental upbringing and gives ecclesiastical education
- 6903d: removes parental upbringing and gives martial education
- The event will now only fire for boys.

- 6949: has a 20% chance of making daddy stressed (instead of a 24% chance of corrupting his seed)
- 6999: disabled (removal of parental upbringing was instead added to all graduation events)
- 1012/1015 (normal event for choice of education): will only fire for human players, and only for orphans (though not frequently), child rulers and children of rulers afflicted with stress symptom, depression, maniac or schizophrenia.
- Bastard children will always receive an automatic education (see below) unless their father has no non-bastard male child.
- Parents afflicted with stress symptom, depression, maniac delusions, schizophrenia, plague infestation or inbreeding won't get the opportunity to choose parental upbringing.
- 6900: checks for and adds the education traits instead of the former signifiers
- Battle experience
- Event 7004 has been deleted
- A new set of events allow a character with martial education to instead improve his education level; a misguided warrior becomes a tough soldier, a tough soldier becomes a knowledged tactician and a knowledged tactician becomes a brilliant strategist. A detached priest can also become a martial cleric. [Many thanks to Fawr!]
- Event 7045 no longer gives a 20% of +1 martial skill. To compensate, it has a 50% chance of giving Valorous (formerly 20%).
- Event 7046 no longer gives a 20% of -1 martial skill. To compensate, it has a 50% chance of giving Coward (formerly 20%).
- Event 7047 no longer gives a 10% of +1 martial skill. To compensate, it has a 25% chance of giving Wise (formerly 10%).
- Event 7048 no longer gives a 10% of -1 martial skill. To compensate, it has a 25% chance of giving Reckless (formerly 10%).
- Event 7004 has been deleted
- Mentor events
- Court events 6202, 6203, 6205, 6206, 6207, 6208, 6209, 6214, 6215 and 6216 have been deleted.
- A new set of events allows characters in the 16-26 age range to be given professional training by a mentor, improving their education trait by 1 level. [Many thanks to Fawr!]
- Martial clerics are an exception in this system; detached priests can receive training as either martial cleric (from a knight) or as scholarly theologians, and martial clerics will never be offered any further training.
- Good education results are now less likely for characters with high stats
- Characters that have at least 11 in the primary stat of the education (minus the modifiers from the "X_education" trait) get a mtth modifier of x1.1 for the second, third and fourth levels within the corresponding education; each additional step up to 15 adds another x1.1 (with 15 giving a total modifier of x1.611).
- Ecclesiastical education level 2 (martial cleric) checks the martial stat.
- Ecclesiastical education level 3 and 4 check if any of the court stats have an abnormally high value.
- These modifiers are also applied to the "combat experience" and mentor event series.
- Automatization of NPC education
- A set of new events has been added. Long story short, it replaces the current education-selection event for most of the NPC's outside of the human-played ruler's family.
- For each +1 in a stat, up to 10, the stats of a NPC affects which education it gets; the higher its martial stat, for instance, the greater the chance of getting a martial education. Court education checks the highest court stat. Ecclesiastical education is an exception, however, as it'll become less likely if 1 or 2 court stats are (noticably) lower than the highest BUT more likely if all of the court stats are low.
- A son is more likely to pick a non-modest father's education.
- A daughter is more likely to pick a non-modest mother's education.
- Any child is much more likely to pick the father's education if the father is Proud (and alive).
- Any child is more likely to pick the father's education if the father is Selfish (and alive).
- A daughter is much more likely to pick the mother's education if the mother is Proud (and alive).
- A daughter is more likely to pick the mother's education if the mother is Selfish (and alive).
- A new event has been added, giving characters the Proud trait if they have the same basic education type as a Proud parent (excepting son-mother checks).
- Courtier events 7310, 7314, 7318, 7322 and 7325 have all been changed to add Proud in option A (reward generously).
- Ecclesiastical education is more likely for boys when there is no chaplain.
- Ecclesiastical education is less likely for girls.
- Ecclesiastical education is more likely with Zealous parents and less likely with Sceptical ones (that are alive).
- Ecclesiastical education is much less likely for girls when the mother does not share the religion of the daughter's realm ruler.
- The buildings that benefit good education results now make their corresponding educations more likely (modifiers were taken from the "level 3" graduation events).
- Ecclesiastical education will never be chosen if the child is of wrong religion or if the father has the wrong heresy status.
- A new event may force wrong-religion and wrong-heresy children into an ecclesiastical education.
- The spreading of heresy has been fully integrated into the education system
- Children of heretic fathers will now get the heretic trait in their education event.
- The graduation modifiers now check if the character is of a different heresy status than the local ruler, rather than just adding a big multiplier for anyone with the heretic trait.
- Religious conversion by ecclesiastical education has been redone to allow conversion to/from heresy with a minimal amount of added events.
- Instead of being converted upon graduation, characters receiving an ecclesiastical graduation but being of wrong religion or heretical status will receive an extra event "correcting" it (but with a 15% chance of an other-religion convertee gaining the heretic trait). The religious conversion event will not fire if the local ruler is of a different religion than the realm ruler, in order to allow him to keep educating clergy of his own faith. Conversion to heresy within the same religion will just check the local ruler's status, though.
- Piety bonus for ecclesiastical educations upon graduation
- Bugfixes
- character_development_events: all instances of "brilliant_tactician" changed to "brilliant_strategist"
- The parental upbringing events now take into account the possibility that the ruler is a woman:
- The "pay up" event will fire for the ruler.
- The triggers for the upbringing-ending events have been reworked accordingly.

- Italian is supported [Many thanks to ambrox62!]
