It Loads up until the bit where the events are loaded (about 75% of the Bar) Then it just Ctds
I have the same problem. I've tried everything I can think of, including reinstalling everything clean twice, but I still crash on loading a new game.
I'm currently running 1.08. Should I downgrade to 1.07?

Strangely enough, it is only the 1419 EEP that doesn't work. The 1520 loads just fine.

The Beta option dissapeared for me when I upgraded to 1.42b. I can no longer scroll to the bottom few options (erm.... from memory, they were the fantasy events, beta, and one other). I guess the fantasy option was moved to its own separate campaign, but the other buttons dissapeared too.
The 1419 campaign did not work with 1.42a either. The toggle button for beta would work, but the same crash would occur whether it was on or off.

That is pretty strange. I just use EEP with 1.07, so I can't really comment beyond that.
Yah, I'm considering going back to 1.07 for better compatibility. The 1419-1492 era is my favorite anyways. 
Yeah I did everything the instructions said, but 1.42b isnt working for me either... and I really wanted to try those Byzantine events everyone is raving about, too...

Fresh install of EU2, patch 1.08, installed EEP, CTDs at startup (with and without the "beta" option).

The EEP works fine, but when I save a game, and attempt to go back to it, no matter who I was playing, it always closes off the other shields, and only the knights are selectable, even after deleting the cfg file of the save. Anyone know what could be the reason? I'm using a clean 1.08 (non beta) patch, with the latest EEP version.
I have no idea why that's happening, but you can get around it by going into the save file and changing the data about the selectable countries - its in the right near the top. Also, iirc, if you change your name it'll let you select whoever you want from a save you made under a different name
I am having the same problem, so I'm just not playing with EEP.. I don't know where this 1.07beta option is that you speak of? where do i find it?

Okay, I dusted mine off a bit (been playing too much AGCEEP) and had a go - loaded fine other than the usual mass of used ID notifications, but it loaded without that normal pop-up at the start, and CtDed in the middle of the mass of game-start DoWs. That's... new. I'll have a good look when I get the time.
