Danish/Scandinavian AAR
1761 - 1776 Great Wars Era
This period was one of the bloodiest one in history of the World and Denmark.
Early 60' were the years of profits for Scandinavia - thx to the bloody turmoil in the Western Europe, Danish merchants took large parts of Indian and Chinesee CoT's, providing Scandinavia large sum of money, needed for militarization - soon 100 new ships were built to secure Danish safety at seas, new conscription centers provided twice manpower than 20 years ago, naval tech was at last equal to the Dutch and British one, most precious Danish Colonial possesion - Vitti Levu was provided with huge 25 000 garrison. inflation decreased rapidly - while Europe swam in blood, Denmark gained more wealth with easy.
After First Great War, England and Netherlands were utterly defeated - Great Coalition ( France/Prussia/Ottoman Empire ) had to be prepared for revenge coming from the British side - altough great Britain recovered quickly, it lost some of it's colonial possesions to it's neighbours ( Denmark, Persia ), also Korea declared independence. It was sure that the next war will begin soon to decide economic hegemony of Britain over the world.
Denmark recognized this situation as a good possibility to take back Quebec. Secret pact was made with the Coalition and soon the Second Great War began - Prussian King and his French ally were again destroying one British army after another, altough British fortifications were tougher than before.
Danish king, Christian VII, unaware of Prussian peace deal with Netherlands, attacked Britain in NA - over 100 warships of the Scandinavian Oceanic Fleet, under command of F.C. Kaas, with 100 k of troops onboard, started to disembark in NA - unfortunately, similar size British New World Fleet interfered and landing was aborted - Kaas had to withdrew from battle and headed his fleet to the shores of Greenland - British fleet pursued...
Soon, at the shores of "Green Isle", 2 fleets engaged each other - Sons of Vikings showed British their valour - over 70 British and 40 Danish warships sunked - British New World Fleet was beaten and Danish invasion was again progressing, altough supplies in Greenland were quickly melting and second wave of troops started to starve in the greenland's cities.
But 60 k of troops under the command of Strombaak!, talented Danish commander ( 5-4-2-4 ) soon landed in French part of NA to help in clearing British presence from the French cities - second assault, after pursuit of the next british fleet ( approx. 190 ships ) was launched at Quebec - Manicounagan was taken and some British troops were destroyed.
In the same time, Dutch fleet of 350 ships tried to break the defence of Scandinavian Defence Fleet ( approx 230 ships ) at Skagerrak, but Dutch fleet was beaten, ( altough it inflicted heavy losses to the Danish fleet ).
Soon peace treaty for the Quebec was presented to the British side, but it was rejected - because of peace deal between NL and Coalition, Denmark fought NL alone ( Prussia also gave MA to NL - surely, act of treachery from the german side
o ) and Danish military power started to collapse.
40 000 Danish soldiers advancing to the delta of St.Lawrence river were utterly defeated by powerful Dutch army. Also Dutch fleet was reinforced to finally break Danish resistance at Skagerrak. According to circumstances, Strombaak! army was evacuated from Central NA and transported trough Carribean by F.C.Kaas's Scandinavian Oceanic Fleet - during the journey, single British warships were sunk...
In the meantime, Danish Defence Fleet was defeated at Skagerrak and withdrew to the Baltic. Kobenhavn was cut from the Jylland and Skane by the Dutch fleet and besieged by the Dutch 70 000 army under the command of Brunswick.
Danish counter attack was prepared - Strombaak! army achieved Bremen, where he tried to join the rest of Danish army prepared for the counterattack. First attack was repelled and Danish army had to withdrew to Holstein - at the same end of war, Danish King discovered, that maintance of his land army was only at 50 % :wacko:

o :wacko: - he quickly raised it and soon Danish troops outmanouvered Brunswick and achieved Kobenhavn - Brunswick was prepared to gave final blow to the Scandinavian Army and assaulted Strombaak!'s 60 000 soldiers at Kobenhavn...
...It was true slaughter of Dutch troops - not even one of the 70 000 Dutch soldiers survived the battle - Brunswick joined his Dutch brothers in heavens and Danish main army was almost untouched.
Altough the rest of Danish Oceanic Fleet under the command of F.C.Kaas was still capable to support Strombaak! with reinforcements from Norway, heavily beaten Danish Defence Fleet ( 70 ships ) was destroyed by the mighty Dutch navy at the coasts of Skane - with no possibilities to reinforce broken Scandinavian Navy, Christian VII and members of Folketinget proposed peace treaty to Great Britain and ceded the Canada to the British Empire.
Altough this terrible war took the lives of almost 150 000 of Scandinavian soldiers, undermined it's trading position and took the rest of possesions in NA, the most painful was the loss of 330 ships ( Britain/NL lost about 200+ ) -

- F.C.Kaas ( evaded uber-powerful NL/British fleets many, many times and almost destroyed British New World Fleet )
- Strombaak! ( best general Scandinavia ever had considering stats, supported French forces in Central NA, destroyed large Brunswick's Army at Kobenhavn )
