Here's my try,

flag_ven.bmp

Wow, thats whoresome :D (lol, my word, f*** off lol)

BTW.... it's not for this thread but being lazy I see no point in posting it elsewhere. My game works fine except for the 1700 scenario. I've modded alot, but the others work fine. What could I have edited (incorrectly) for the game to crash to desktop when loading the Age of Enlightenment Scenario?

Would an army or province ID clash do this?

What could it be?

Thanks :)

PS: Birger, don't suppose you've had time to do my Québec/Spain/UK shields yet mate? :D

Beats me, I only know how to mod graphics. :p
Glad you liked the flag tho. :)

Well, the first coat of arms granted to Quebec was in 1868 and it was this:

Haven't checked into the other shields, yet... :)

That's cool, but also out of timeline (not that that usually bothers me lol) - how about the Quebec tri-colour just in shield form please? :)

Thank you Birger! I have tested the flag in the game, and it looks very good.

But, just to understand, shouldn't the lion be coloured all of golden and not with white wings or brown maine?

Have a look at this picture:

this flag was hoisted on St. Mark Bell's tower by some independentists (!) years ago...

If I am not oppressing you , could you please also try to make a shield from the last two CoAs I posted?

To Khephren:
Yes, I would like to see also your flag!

I have found out this Italian site about Flags (unfortunately only in Italian!):
http://digilander.libero.it/breschirob/indice.html

Well, if we consider to change the genovese flag, the same adopted by England, there is this flag, used after 1636

about Parma, not the simple blue cross on yellow field but the Farnese flag:

about Modena, wings here are closed!:

also about Venezia there is some more:

Excellent! :) :)
Is the second shield you created taken from one of my last posted two CoA (the lighter of both)?

Nope, used this flag as source

Well, I know you like perfection... :) ;) :D

Yup, that's why the previous flag will do just fine since it's historical accurate. :)

Well I think that flag version 2 is the best to be used in game, but for the shield,
shield_venice.bmp

maybe you should put another colour instead of the light brown taken from that last flag, since it represents the lagoon...
Maybe a light blue or green!? And if so done , the sky should be dark blue as in the original historical shield I posted before...

The light brown is the ground, the dark blue between the lions legs is the lagoon..

Since the republic of Venetia never codified its heraldry that will do just fine right now...

You have done the work perfectly, thank you! :)
