Hi!

Fisrt off I wanted to say how much I admire all the CORE guys... you've done s great job!! this new version is very much improved, especially on the techs and the economy side. The AI is great and is -finally- able to manage the airforce. Great job also with the units and the brigades... they are the best availible!

Only one small note, if I may. In my game Egypt is NOT a UK puppet... that sounds quite profane... everybody knows that the autonomy given to Egypt was only nominal... I think it should be a puppet therefore.
I agree that is historically correct to potray it as an indipendent State (one of course could debate whetever also the Italy-dominated Albania or Manchukuo should be indipentent in the game) but Egypt should nonetheless be a puppet.

See for instance: http://countrystudies.us/egypt/30.htm

Here you can see how historically the "formally" UK ambassador nominates a new goverment in Egypt... Could he do this if Egypt would have been an indipendent State (i.e. non puppet) in 1936?

Egypt is a special case, and therefore not seen as a puppet. It is true that the British had quite some influence, largely on military and foreign affairs. But Egypt steered it's own course, and only entered the war in 1945, in contrast to the rest of the commonwealth. Should the Axis be able to conquer El Alamein Egypt will be forced to choose sides, which is handled by event.

I have noticed, that the British AI does not put troops to the Egypt border and so the Italians can push to El Alamain without meeting any resistance, although the Brits even pushed the Italians back into Libya in reality. The reason why the Allies always conquer NA is, that they make an amphibous landing in the rear of the front (at least they did in my last hands-off game).

Hi,

Most of the tests I've seen show a rather historical ITA push along the Med followed by an almost immedite collapse with ENG pushing into Libiya. fighting then goes on around tobruk and Benghazi for awhile and after that ENG slowly mops up. Pretty close to how it would have been ITRW without DAK assisstance.

I am playing Core .25. Just finishing up before going to .30. But the NA front was over in a month. ITA pushed into Egypt and then nothing happened. It's three years later, Italy occupies the British part of the Egyptian coast. Egypt is neutral. No Middle Eastern revolt.

And Lend-Lease never worked either.

I hope this doesn't sound like complaining. I like Core very much.
