After roughly 2 years, our game is finally out there.
I hope you like it.
I would once more like to thank all the people that were in closed beta and then open beta: your feedback has been invaluable.
First patch is already on the way, which will take care of some issues like loading ports. NOTE: you can already disable 3D ports from game menu, which removes the load time.
EIC is different game in one major respect: it's both trading game and wargame. Try to approach it like it
If you play the grand campaign, the first hours / 20 years are quite serene, but the decisions you make will have far flung effects.
About 1630 things start to change, as more ports get taken and the campaign mission amounts rise. Up until this point automatic trading routes have not needed so much of your attention, but now as import amounts rise, the dynamic prises really take effect.
You also must pay attention to diplomacy, as clicks start to emerge between companies.
Roughtly at 1700 starts the end game: there should not be that many companies left, but those that are are strong. You can either try to hang on and win the game by completing the last campaign missions or, if your feel powerful enough, try to waste remaining rivals or take the whole India.
The game experience can be quite different for different games, as AI companies act differently each time.
Again, I hope you like it and get hooked. I know we all did.
