Ein Anderer Führer

A German AAR
HOI 1.05c
The New Order Event Pack

November 3rd, 1914

Major Hans Schumann, CO of 16th, Bavarian Reserve Regiment.

After Action Report on the engagement of Nov.1st near Gheluvelt:

On October 31st, after twelve days of fighting in the town of Ypres, a breakout was achieved by the 16th, Bavarian Reserve Regiment. The breach near Ypres was nearly one mile wide. However, the Regiment had to stop, as there was no order for advance.

Later that day, our regiment was tasked to clear the chateau of Gheluvelt from any remaining enemy forces. It was then the British organized their counterattack. About 500 men attacked us from the west side of the chateau where 2nd battalion of 4th Infanterie regiment was supposed to be. We called down supporting artillery fire from division, which met the attackers head on, causing enormous casualties. Nevertheless, it was a bit too late. The enemy crashed onto our ranks, and a fierce melee ensued. Although we were successful killing and capturing many men, the British were gaining the upper hand. To avoid further casualties, I pulled the regiment back. From our prisoners, we learned they were from the 2nd Worcester Battalion. I have sent them to division for further interrogation.

The regiment suffered 208 fatalities, with another 108 wounded and 90 missing presumed captured. Here is a list of all fatalities in order of first names:

· Adolf Hitler
· Adolf von Desittrop…

The Road to War

1932-

The Nazi Party became the largest party in the election in 1932. Hermann Goering, future Chief of the Luftwaffe, became the Reichstag.

1933-

In January, Karl Sparldel, the Leader of the Nazi party, became German Chancellor. The Nazi party won 44 percent of the popular vote that year, and Sparldel, now known as the Führer, proclaimed the Third Reich. A true nationalist, German citizens flocked to his regime of establishing Germany as another great power in Europe.

1935-

Saar Basin was returned to Germany on March 1st. The Führer denounced the Versailles Treaty’s disarmament clauses, but Germany promised to limit the size of its naavy in an aggreement signed in London. The Luftwaffe was created this year, and the first He 51s reached the unit in June.

Writer’s note: As you can see, everything here is correct with the real version of Hitler’s rise to power, except Hitler is not in it. This is because I feel even without Hitler, someone in a Germany ravaged by defeat, hyperinflation, and world depression, would inevitably have come forward to start the Second World War. The reason I removed Hitler was because in the game, the Führer, a.k.a. me, did not make the stupid mistakes Hitler made, so that is why I removed him from the scene.

By the way, the engagement that cost Hitler's life in my AAR did actually happen in the real history, the only thing that was different was Hitler didn't die, oh boy how would hte history change if he did...

Goering becomes Reichstag? .. wow .. i know he was fat.. but that big? :D

otherwise.. a very interesting concept :) no matter how many german AAR's there are.. if it has a good idea and is well written then it should be considered among the great ones :)

Seems good, however, it could have been a teeny weeny bit more accurate if the death of Hitler would have occured at the battle of the somme, a genade scored a direct hit into his dugout, killing most of the german soldiers, but Hitler survived with shell splinter in his face, so let´s just move hitler a little bit closer to the grenade...

Technically, if you list Death's in Alphabetical order, you list by last name, because then the Family Members just look for their last name rather then a first name, which turns out to be much easier. So Hitler would have been with the H's not the A's... But it's not like that ruins the AAR... Update often!

This sounds cool, I guess, germany will be without the Adolf Hitler Statue's
Sounds good liked you letter as being the introduction
