Hi guys,
I'm experimenting with adding a elite brigade mod to symbolize the guard divisions, waffen ss, marine corps, whatever in order to have those little more organized & motivated people that stays and fight when hell reigns upon them but I'm having a bit of trouble of finding some appropriate numbers and such so I thought I' ask you.
The cost
I want it expensive but not to expensive that it's useless IC-days wise so maybe it's best to decide how many days that the IC are going to be multipled by.
It takes 35 days to train a police, 45 days to train an engineer. Since the brigade somehow symbolise extra well trained officers and support functions with special selected and highly motivated people, I'd say 10 weeks feels pretty reasonable. That's 70 days.
An armored car brigade cost 60 x 3 = 180 IC/days and since the elite brigade will have pretty similar stats (+ morale boost & higher org - soft attack & suppresion & prob. softness), I feel would be within the same range and since it takes 70 days to build, it will end up to a cost of 210 IC days which feels pretty reasonable given the advantages one recived.
The bonuses
I'm thinking that a org and morala boost of 20% feels pretty much (as currently) so I'm open to other & better suggestions.
Defensivness & toughness 2
The upkeep
Since it doesn't boost any type of vechiles and is intended to be available for all types of units (and thus, may require oil) I don't think it's a good idea to add oil_consumption.
Supplies however are another issue, since armored cars demand 0.4 but engineers only 0.12, I thought of something like 0.25 or there around.
Feedback?
Oh, and for those who don't like the idea, says that waffen ss wasn't all elite divisions, guard divisions was just a title for divisions that perfmored well etc. Fair enough but I like to have the possibilites to make units which hold outs longer when I for example play a German götterdämung campaign.
