Hello everyone I'm new here and I'm actually from the state of Chicago which is "Illinois" also called the heart land. I have a question that nobody mentioned anywhere online for the Xbox one version or any console version. My question is will the pre order be available for cd or is this game for Digital version only?

I'm hoping the premium edition is for Cd version, but nobody specifically mentioned it.

So you can preorder the physical edition of the game for Xbox 1, PS4, and Switch in Gamestop and Amazon. In the US, you can not order a PC physical edition. It is only digital for PC. Lastly, I'm 97% confident that the deluxe and premium edition is only for digital copies. Physical copies will only be the standard edition. This coincides with how most games release now.

PDX don't do cd's
So

Thank you, finally someone who's specific and knows what there talking about, thank you again, I don't understand why some game developers wont sell the whole complete finished game on cd instead of just the standard version. Seems to me there rushing and loosing sales, not alot of game consumer's want a digital version. Me personally I want a game cd I can see and touch and a complete game. Digital versions have alot of problems.

I bought pre order "Immortals Fenyx Rising Gold edition" for cd Xbox one version last night for 99.00$ with express shipping. Coming from UBI Soft on Dec 3 2020. The ps4 pre order cd version gold edition is already sold out. So yes cd versions are still very preferable.

No problem, I wish this was on cd as a complete version. I'm not digital fan really digital games have more problems then a physical copy. Besides I want a game I can physically touch and see.
Comparing with how frequently other paradox games get updated any hard copy that you have will be severely outdated within 3-12 months. Looking at something like CK3 we are now 2 months in and there have been several versions. At some point most up to date content will be digital even if you have a hard copy.

On the border of necromancing a post, but you make a great point. I agree. I believe this is one major reason why Paradox and other companies are going the digital route. Games are becoming far bigger and more complex than games of old. Extensive patches will occur to update whatever they couldn't fix or add before release. Then you have DLCs that have become an industry standard. Lastly, physical copies cost the company more money to produce, whereas a digital download has a miniscule cost if it's on their own platform (though being on Steam or Epic for example will cost money, but it is still probably far cheaper than producing physical copies in the long run).

Speaking for myself only, I prefer the digital route. Gosh only knows how many physical copies (going back to floppy disks) I've lost or damaged over the years. Especially true if you move fairly often, as I have.

I want to love this game but the game is way to simple. There is no challenge.... The game could be great but AI is horrible. If you love games like XCOM you will fall alseep while fighting and get bored before you have taken over the first neighbourhood

Hi,
I am having difficulty traveling between city communities in Empire of Sin. Seems like you have to click a taxi in another city. There are TWO DIFFERENT city views. In one of them, I can navigate to another city. In the standard city view, I CAN NOT navigate to a taxi in another city community.

I haven’t used the taxi. You can zoom out then scroll over to the other city, zoom in and then right click on any building icon and select ‘travel here’.

I prefer games to be in a digital cloud. It destroys the second hand (used) market but at least your stuff doesn’t get damaged, I agree.
Same with books for me unless they’re art/photography/design and then I prefer hardback.
