Need some help with the diplomacy that happens at teh end of the war in Europe.
We're making headway in the Balkans, trying to sew up all that we can.
An unexpected event. Germany surrenders (not sure to who) . . . not how it worked in my only other '44 game. I was expecting to have to chase the Germans down to their last province - which I had expected to be Graz (they had conveniently jumped there and were surrounded by US and UK held provinces.
What does this mean? Did the US ever have an opportunity to annex Germany? If so how would i know?
Not only did Stalin get Graz when Germany surrendered, the new country "Austria" gets two other provinces.
How does the US give provinces to Denmark and Belgium? They are not allies. Do I give the provinces to UK who will then give to the "free" countries?
There is a US garrison division stuck in (neutral) Athens. How does that get out?
US is very poor, has been all game (this is crazy), so we are unable to return all the provinces we'd like as quickly as possible. What's the REAL risk of revolt in those Polish/French/Belgian provinces that haven't been returned?
Poland was created by the USSR with a single province. Suggestions on what I shuold do with all the rest? Will the UK give the Polish provinces it controls to communist Poland?
We're still at war with Bulgaria and Finland! US troops have taken a small chunk of Finland and British led troops are swarming Bulgaria. What's the best way to end this? Sue for peace with Finland?
