Endless upgrade cycle

Hi

I have a problem with my copy of doomsday (latest patch is applied), and the problem is that my motorized infantry divisions just upgrade endlessly after I have researched semi modern motorized infantry. The path goes like this '44 mot -> '40 mot -> '42 mot -> '44 mot etc.

The same thing happens with my tanks when I research main battle tank tech.

I also saved the game and tried loading it, but then it showed me this error message:

I did search the forums for a solution but I couldn't find any.

Are you sure you did patch with the correct patch?

Well, the main menu says "v 1.3a", so I suppose that's the right version.

Looks perhaps like a corrupt save game. Did you by any chance edit it, or other files, before you began getting the error.

Hmm, no it isn't. Well I suppose reinstalling the game should work. Thanks, I'll report back later.

Make sure you get the 1.3a for Doomsday and not the 1.3a for vanilla HoI2.

I sincerely can't refrain from posting this.
Sir, I'm aware that you just broke the game.
Also, I second what jdrou said. There are two 1.3a's, you only need to get the good one.
Google helps if you can't find the doomsday one on paradox's download page.
