I might. And also some others, like Romania and Czechoslovakia.

I have a completely new concept in mind, though. I'm drawing a map of superpowers, which could make this AAR interesting.
E: Mmmh, I'll make my next AAR about that.
Okay, I'll take some nations into different alliances and test run and update.

sweet :D

I just experimented and got the best balance ever! I updated the first post with new alliance countries, and I should get an update out in about half hour.

Chapter I

The year 1936 is remembered as the year when the three super-alliances declared war on each other and started to claim the world as their own.
The Iron Entente is mostly focused on Europe and South America. The United States is also in this alliance, while Germany is leading it.
The London Treaty is wide-spread, mainly due to the colonial areas. This, however, gives them the opportunity to hit from multiple fronts at once.
Finally, the Revolutionary Liberation Army, RLA, mostly focuses on the east, with Japan and Communist China on their side. They have strong allies in Europe, too. Italy, Yugoslavia and Spain are striking from behind against the Iron Entente. Mexico and Canada are hammering the USA. RLA has strong allies ready to smash potential enemies all over the world, which makes it a strong alliance.

The first two months of war were mainly seen in Europe. Spain is striking France from behind, while Belgium is advancing towards the defensive line of France.
Swedish landing in RLA member-state, Finland, was successful, but Norway managed to cut their forces in half.

Chapter II

The war has raged for six months now. Large, full-front assaults of Belgium have been successful, destroying the French defense lines completely and forcing the French to station in the Maginot line.
Canada and Mexico, two North American RLA members are partitioning the United States. The States could not react quickly enough to the wave of Canadian forces capturing Washington D.C.
The Swedish landing in Finland has almost been repelled, mainly by the Norwegian counter-offensive cutting the supply lines.
Romanian forces have penetrated the Soviet lines and are advancing deep into USSR heartland. Spain is retreating from the Portuguese, and are trying to gain French territory. Overall, the war can be seen easily in France and North America.

**You guys can't imagine how this lags. Is there any event or similar that would remove the AI units, or at least get rid of the 0-ship fleets? If not, I'm afraid this would become unplayable very quickly.

I'm just guessing since I don't have the game (yet), but isn't there a modifier that reduces the net manpower flow (representing the retirement of the eldery from the manpower pool)?

If there is, maybe increasing its value would greatly reduce the number of divisions produced...

Maybe I should remove my event that gives the minor nations 3 divisions twice a year, I think Belgium has done good enough already.
I'll see if there are any MP modifiers I could adjust.

that was epic! but i dont think germany and usa should have been in the same alliance. both have the potential for greatness, but their early standing armies are a joke. maybe give usa half of canadas units and a tank div?

Once only one alliance is left, split it up again.
And again.

There can only be one!

I can use the 3-div event on them, that's how I keep at least some balance.

Good news. I decided to improve the speed and deleted every sprite except one, and now the game runs at acceptable speed.
When I take control of one of the superpowers later, I will edit the borders á la Democracy's Last Legs. USA makes just so damn awesome borders for two nations.
The main idea of this is to solve which nations will become superpowers. After that, I'll give them realistic borders and take control of one of them. You, the readers, are allowed to participate when it's time to draw borders and choose a superpower.

Awesome!

whats the current situation in the world?

Chapter III

Good morning, this is World News Today.
The Great Conflict has lasted for almost a year now. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics have made a breakthrough on the southern frontline, annexing Mongolia into the realm.

In Europe, the Swedish landing in Finland continues. Norway is capturing important Swedish cities, but are unable to penetrate the defensive line of Stockholm. The allied forces of Poland and Romania are advancing deep into Soviet territory, and Poland is already at the gates of Moscow.
France is still located only as a small piece of land between Germany and Belgium, but are making some progress.
Nepal and Bhutan, members of the Iron Entente and the RLA, have together forced the English out of India and are now fighting against each other.
Ethiopia has succeeded in its long-time dream. They have forged a grand east African empire, and are now advancing towards the Suez Canal.

The war on the Continental U.S ended when the Canadian forces captured Anchorage, defeating the U.S resistance there. The capital of the United States is now located in Hawaii.

:eek:o I knew something was wrong with the USSR. I'll increase it to 100% since they are getting beaten so badly.

But still, it's refreshing to see Poland conquering Moscow.

E: I can't find the gearing up for war event. What's the command to increase ground defence effeciency?
