I've noticed something rather annoying and I don't know if it's a feature or not.

Basically whenever I attack some other King or Emperor, the moment i declare war they suddenly get a huge boost in levies from vassals, usually double or more.
It doesn't happen when somebody else is attacking them, only when I do.

What's the deal with this?

- Playing only with CK2+, using latest game and mod versions.

Are you an infidel to them? If a realm is invaded by another religion, the liege gets a huge (75!) opinion boost with all his vassals. This, of course, raises vassal levies largely.

Reactions:
Attacking people will raise their vassal's opinion in some cases, and that lets them raise troops.

Its different for dukes and counts because they already rely much more heavily on their own demesne troops so the modifiers have a more limited effect

Oh yea, I'm reformed Tengri and since I'm the only one everyone sees me as infidel.
I guess that answers it, thanks :)

Also remember that any tribals you may attack have the annoying (but useful!) decision to raise a huge tribal army for 500 prestige.
