Well, its a short story:

I declared war on an enemy and occupied all their demesne, taking it in a peace to myself (I won't reveal the country for AAR reasons). After this I disbanded all my armies, but noticed I still have military expenses.

I quickly figured out that the old enemy armies from my provinces were still standing and controlled by the enemy. I guess this is because the enemy state still exists, but owns no land directly, only through vassals.

Now the actual question is: Will the armies disband on their own or do I have to edit them out and if so, how?

All help appreciated. :)

Anyone had similar experience?
I had this with a landless king of Norway, his only vassal was his son who was duke of Trondelag so he did not revoke his title. For a while he had armies mobilised but once he was at peace with all his enemies (white peaces or abandon claims) he disbanded his troops. It is possible to remove regiments in the save file if it takes too long.

All right, thank you. I think I'll play on for few months and then try to edit them if they don't disband.
