English HOI - Patches?

Hi there!


I'm from Germany and bought the English Version.
But I can't find any patches for HoI.

And the Installer from the NA Version says he can't find any HoI on my Computer.

So the Q is:
Is it me being to stupid to find the Eglish patch.
Or is there no need for an English patch although the American version was pathced twice? Or is it Paradox (or the local company) that is too slow or unwillingly (or has no time so far, or whatever).

But so far i think the English Version is far to easy and i heard that the patches made the game more realistically and changed the scenarios quite a bit.

Thanx for any comment or even better a link :cool:

but on their homepage is - as far as i can see - no patch.

i were playing HoI all day long - between learning for law examen ;-)
and now i am at a point were everytime the game crashes after 5 minutes.. i can prolong it by saving and then reloading but it really goes on my nerves!

btw if i start a new game there is no problem at all.

Yep.

But i it was sold as "English version". So i looked after such a version, and i thought that PAN Vision distributed an english and a scandinavian one.
Anyway it works now fine - no more crashes so far.


Just one bug (?) after i installed the patch most of my savegames got messed up in one way or another.
'For example a game were i played russia - restarted with me playing italy. Or in a game were i played germany and had already conquered alll of france and was deploying for an invasion of russia, did suddenly a big army group of french soldiers appear in Paris right after loading the game. The army group was too big for being paradropped.. (and it had tanks etc.)

But i dont need any solutions for that, i slayed the army (it had no operational status) and the other games were only tries.
 
Yup, old saves are not always compatible with new patches. It is recommended that you start a new game after patching.
