I'm sorry, I'm confused, what are we supposed to be confused about?
So people know when we're just goofing in RP and not actually Bickering. ;)

Greetings Mechwarriors,

We are in a new environment. We should probably please be more careful when we roleplay Battletech faction talk that it's obvious that it is friendly role play, for the viewers who may not know.

Also, Please do not combine such role play ( like, for example standard Taurian 'Bull-headed' :p Paranoia towards other factions ) with commentary on forum staff as there would A. be some potentially less IP lore savvy staff on this forum who take it only as an overt violation of the Forum User Agreement & Rules which it would be, and B. might even be other less conscientious community members out there somewhere that might abuse the RP to do so intentionally.

As such, let us avoid the combination of the two moving forward. ;)

Thank you Mechwarriors, that is all. Carry on.
You are, of course, correct. My humble apologies to anyone who got confused and thought I really was accusing our wonderful staff of being nasty :)
And I will be really disappointed with anyone who uses role play as a means of veiling actual bad behaviour towards others. It is definitely not what we are about here ;)

Nah bud, No apologies needed. Just throwing out a reminder that when we roleplay we may have curious viewers who are as of yet uninitiated. As long as we remember to throw them a nod and a wink, we should all be fine. They may even want to join in sometime too :D

Now back to our regularly scheduled programing.

;)

Wait, there's a schedule? I've been making this rubbish up as I go along :p

Then you're doing it right. You caught me. There is no schedule. Haha .

Well except for being able to clock how fast Talon gets out of his 'Mech.

It's about 1.5 hours of tabletop time. For the record.

So, 310,000 views on this video in 3 days. Compared to 110,000 views for the Single Player "Miner" mission from 3 months ago. To put that into perspective, the most viewed video on the HBS Youtube channel has 576,000 views, and that's for Shadowrun Returns, from 4 years ago.

I'll say this, Paradox managed to get this video out to the masses.

...Of course you can ignore that and just take random contracts from various employers too.
Especially if you're a known Taurian sympathizer like some here. You know who you are, gentlemen.

Finally seeing some decent logos being displayed on here :p

I'd say the difference was that the most recent video was linked on Steam and the Campaign video was not (to my knowledge). I'm actually wondering when Paradox will start marketing Battletech. Aside from one frankly embarrassing livestream where CKnoor and some other guy stumbled wholly unprepared through a game they were supposed to show off, I have not seen anything from their side. At all. They're probably doing a lot of behind the scenes stuff. But with localization only announced for 3 months after launch I'm honestly wondering what exactly it is they're providing on their end. I'm not a Paradox hater by any means, just really wondering. I've followed and enjoyed their lead-up to the Stellaris release. And when comparing BT to that it's mostly just... *crickets*

the system must be bugged up than because with both stellaris and hoi4 using different badges for different levels, you get your current level badge and all those below it.
It appears the issue has been resolved and you should now have all the correct badges for your tier and below.

Yep, started seeing my badges for Battletech appropriate for my backing level this morning.

hello !
* short story*
UGH! I just found this game and I don't want to miss out on any of the pre game goody's ! ie. extra skins - modes -beta's , i pre-purchased on steam with the quick fast but did i miss out on perks and stuff in the kicker ? can i still kick in to get Recruit * Or higher status?

*long story
I used to play this game with dice and paper many moons ago , this looks like the digital version of the game ive been hoping for !,
I got blind sided by this game the other day on steam , i pre-ordered the deluxe immediately because I don't want to miss a thing and upon digging deeper finding the Paradox steam group , joined that , further investigating led to finding This website and immediately joined -created a profile n all , doving even deeper still , finding that there was a backer and a kick starter going on for about two 2 years if not longer , am i too late to get on board as a super fan backer supporter and earn recruit status ?

Greetings Kofey!

Late Reinforcement Backing which occurred after the Kickstarter has been closed for a while now. I'm sorry to have to inform you there is no more opportunity to back the game. Yet I'm happy to inform you that's because it launches next month! The pre order option which has opened up signifies this. And the pre order Deluxe Edition essentially has the same benefits as the "MechJock" backer tier! So don't feel bad about missing out on some of the goodies :)

I'm just a forum guy who's also a Battletech fan! Much like you I LOVE that the developers at Harebrained Schemes are working on bringing us BATTLETECH too :D

.... so juddering, palsied LRM launches from here on out?

And what is wrong with that? That's what usually happens when you fire missiles from an enclosed launcher. It's physics. Every action has equal and opposite reaction.

The missile launchers in Battletech are not open at the rear to allow the exhaust to escape when the missiles are launched. Thus there has to be a reaction when launching them.
