I can see, where you're coming from.
I gave up on EU4. I keep a finger on the pulse of Stellaris since mega-corps (can't make myself returning due to crippled AI). Never tried HoI. Didn't touch Imperator (because thought it will be a bad (or should I say, even worse) eu4).
But I still love CK2. And all non-PDS games (published by PDX) are fine as well.
It just weird to see someone double crossing the publisher, not their separate games, unless publisher does something scummy or dishonest. Buggy games or not listening to the community isn't scumming.

Ok, I'm not trying to be rude, but what's the point of this thread? I mean, it just seems a chance to whinge and collectively complain. It doesn't really raise any interesting discussion about business practices or design decisions that haven't already been discussed to death.

I partially agree with the OP... after Ancient Relics there're still many bugs in Stellaris introduced by this small expansion. While none of them are exactly game-breaking, this is becoming ridiculous.

You are seeing those older games through rose-tinted glasses. Bugs and bad AI have always been there.

Since the games grow in size and complexity with every patch, they tend to introduce more bugs and AI issues as often as they fix them. It can be frustrating, but I always enjoy starting a few new games to try out new features.
If the game was perfectly polished but didn't evolve, I think I would get bored with it much faster...

Ok, I'm not trying to be rude, but what's the point of this reply? I mean, it just seems a chance to discredit a post through complaint. It doesn't really raise any interesting discussion about why people are not satisfied with the products or provide helpful alternatives to said people that haven't already been discussed to death.

Because the person who posted didn't post to initiate a discussion, it was a soapbox tirade about them leaving. They left no point where a discussion about it could be had, and it was clear that their mind was set so trying to engage in a discussion would be pointless.

And besides that, it wasn't much more than claiming Paradox does A, B, and C without providing any evidence that they either did so or that their actions are worse than your average game company.

Neither did the post I quoted, and neither did you. Did that stop you from posting? Sadly, to us all, no. But by your reply, it should have.

Are you going to even try and deny that Paradox's QA does a sloppy job in some places? For someone who lurks on the EU4 forums as you, it's quite disappointing how much attention you're actually giving to the threads there.

Thread has descended to pointless personal bickering. Closing before I have to issue infractions.
