Like Spanish succession, Austrian succession, 30YW...

Do we want any of that really? Or should we have 4-5 of them with much more decision freedoom?

If yes which?

Imo the granadian bid for South-French supremacy is nice so far. The Sund crisis isn't fleshed out enough for my liking but I am working on that. And so on.

So any ideas, comments on that?

Personally, I like the idea of large, regional conflicts. However, they can be a bit tricky to implement, particularily for MP games. If we do put a few of these in, we need to make sure that the triggers are logical and attainable, and that there are compelling reasons (ie. rewards) for fighting and winning. I hope we do put a few more in -- I have ideas for 1-2 more myself but I'm not ready to present them yet.

Also... As a matter of procedure, we should have the leaders and events for a region at beta-status before we start coding up big multi-nation event chains. By my own reckoning, I should have probably done events/leaders/monarchs for Burgundy before starting a Franco-Grenadan war -- eh, c'est la vie.

We may also want to give each major regional conflict an event file of its own, but that's an executive decision -- above my paygrade.

Makes sense, I went with that with the iberian religous conflict already for example, or our Gaul file..

An idea I thought of was somesort of religious war in Germany, with Bavaria and possibly Burgundy or hungary, vs the Hanse and allies.

This would depend on earlier events though, like the Rhine trouble between Bavaria and the Hanse, or between Burgundy and the Hanse, and later also it depends on religious choices by Bavaria, something like kill the heretics in Germany, or leave them alone. That sort of thing.

But maybe this will all be part of the great German unification attempt, I don't know how many ideas for that are allready there..

The HRE unification, if we have one that is, will be a toughie..

It will be probably a showdown between Bavaria and the Protties lead by Hansa and Swabia. Working on that.

I like it with those several strong powers in Germany... both Swabia and Bohemia could be taken from semi-strong to strong, having a fight containing all of them (Bavaria, Burgundy, Hanseatic, Bohemia and Swabia). Other possible contestants are Union of Kalmar, Savoy, Hungary and any north italian power (Genoa, Milan or Sicily). There could be a scenario starting right before this war, like the Age of Mercantilism before 30-years war...

The big problem with after-1492 it destroys the vision of Aberration that people write history themselves. We would tell them who is "intended" to get a certain area you know.
