There is an error in 00_pilgrimage_effects for Esotericism which makes mystic lifestyle XP not increase. To fix, change line 161 and onward to:

You should also increase the amount of mystic xp gained. Currently, depending on your learning, you need to complete 20-40 pilgrimages to max out the mystic trait.
