Whenever I try to open a saved game in the editor I get an error message. Most of the time it is "unknown ihs in frontprefs strength = 1.000 an the editor crashes. BTW- I hope this is the right place as I looked in the support forum and most of the editor questions are forwarded here. I can open scenarios but on saved games. I am using the 1.05c patch and my system has a p4 2.8 ghz with 768MB RAM with a GF 5600 and I am in 16bit color. The reason I would like to edit the game save is to change possession of some captured Polish provinces. Possession was awarded to Slovakia and Hungry during the Polish campaign as the invasion was launched from those areas. I don't mind manually editing the game save but I am not sure what to do. If someone could let me know what to edit that would be wonderful. Thanks in advance.

Bob

PS The province award rule does not ring true to history.

I don't think the 1.05 editor (which was not updated in 1.05c) understands the new AI parameters introduced in the patch. You might try installing 1.06c to a new folder and copy the editor.exe over to your real game folder. The editor isn't really designed to edit savegames anyway so you may want to just use a text editor instead and rearrange the 'ownedprovinces' and 'controlledprovinces' to fix your problem.
