Error: Missing Database file

I get an error message



and then



when loading the CORE '36 scenario.

I reinstalled Armageddon from my Anthology DVD into the folder C:\Games\HOI2
CORE is installed into this folder, the mod-CORE2 folder is present (C:\Games\HOI2\mod-CORE2) and the desktop shortcut is pointing to the correct directory: C:\Games\HOI2\Hoi2.exe mod-CORE2

How can I get rid of this error message(s) and play the mod?

Something is wrong with your install. Is this a fresh install of 0.40 ?

There is no cored_albania file in 0.40 - therefore, it seems you have an out of date event list file (there was such a file in 0.32, IIRC).

I uninstalled the whole game and did a fresh install with the CORE2 0.4.0 basic installer (25MB) file from the CORE2 version 0.4.0 - now available for download thread.

Vanilla Core040 install or with graphics pack?
Did you install the BW or Color graphics pack into your Armageddon directory or into moddir (should go to Armageddon directory).

I have no armageddon-directory, so I installed into the doomsday-directory.

For all installers, just select your actual HoI2 ARM directory the game is installed in. The installer by default will install in a subdirectory called mod-CORE2...

Please make sure you install CORE with flavour events, there's a problem with the installer: It uses an outdated event register file if CORE is installed without flavour events.

I played as US and in several games I have had error and some ctd becouse of missing german-ai.txt or what ever that file is named. I can sometimes get past it by "ignore" Is this issue becouse of not installing flavor event?

It very well might be.Try reinstalling. If the problem persists a screenie would be nice - Germany has more than one ai file to start off with.
