error on loading save game"unknown lhs"

Im playing 1.05, has been doing okay.
Ive saved, then loaded again, no problem.


I tried loading my latest save, from 1097. I couldnt load and got an error. I tried again, with the autosave, and I get the same error which here follows (more or less, ive got it written down and my handwriting isnt good)

(unknown lhs in scenario(titleleader))'year=1066'line=478958,file='savegame.autosave.eug

I tried rebooting the PC, didnt help. Tried loading the old autosave, didnt help.

Before I go trying every old save (and my last before the 3 above is 1090, which id rather not replay from) have you seen this before? Anything I can do other than going back?

There is an error in your save-game. In line 478958 a { or } is missing.

Open your save-game with wordpad and got to line 478958 and see if any entry which opens with a { also closes with a }

When I open in wordpad, I dont see any line numbers, which makes it fairly difficult to find anything.

What I wondering, is, if it was corrupted as far back as the old autosave, how did I manage to open it up and then save later on.

edit: Wait, in Notepad I can search on line number, so i tried editing it in that - lets see if it works now.

well that worked, but then I got ANOTHER error in the same save game - this one referring to an illegal top level object in ln 478915 day = 9.

I went there, found day = 9, and didnt see anything wrong, so I dont know what the problem is now.
