i just downloaded the 1.3a update, but when i try to install it, i get an error:
"hearts of iron 2 is not installed on your computer. Please install the game before installing the update. The installation will now exit."

The registry information about your installed copy is either missing, or uses a different encoding than expected.

Did you reinstall Windows recently?

If not, who is the publisher of your copy of the game? There should be a publisher reference on either the CD, the box or the manual.
