errors when the game loads

Hello, I'm new to the boards and I have not played the game with 1.4 yet. I have looked around a bit before posting to see if I could find my problem listed but I have not seen it yet. Every time I download the 1.4 patch, I get problems when the load screen comes up at the beginning. It gives me some error and at the bottom of the box it has retry, ignore and something else for options. I just clicked ignore and the box came up again. So I clicked and clicked and finally the screen came up afterwards. The same thing happened with the editor. However, when I finished clicking on the ignores the editor crashed. Why do I get this pop up box? I will try downloading it again to show what the error says. I have downloaded the game from the strategy first website, and I really want to play 1.4. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm running windows XP, if you need anymore system info please tell me. All of my requirements are ok because I have been playing the game fine up until downloading the 1.4 patch.
 
Couple of things....

1) Always zip up or copy your game directory to a backup one before installing MODs or patches.

2) Sounds like the download failed. I had did several times downloading it on my Win XP! Never found out the cause, but after 4 goes I managed to get it! (This was UK version from paradoxplaza). Isnt there a NA version there you could try?

3) You could wait until later today and try the 105 patch instead?!
 
Ok for some reason I have no problem loading now but this is the error that I get when the editor starts and that I used to get on the loading screen

(Unkown type in land division)'speed_cap_art =5' line = 16 file = db\units\infantry.txt do you still wish to continue?

Abort Retry Ignore

After I click, another line comes up with the same thing except a different speed_cap_art number, line number, and file. Why I'm getting these errors I don't know. Anyone have any idea what might be causing that?
 
I think that may be a bug, check with the bug forum.

Not the same problem at all, his is with the editor!

You may also want to acquaint yourself with rule 19!
