It has become readily apparent that the next chapter Zenimax Online is releasing for ESO is set in Elsweyr. It has also come out that there will be Dragons in the Second Era, at least if you consider ESO canon. I think this is really excited, as I actually prefer ESO to the single player titles. However as Elsweyr takes place during the Three Banners War, a start date for Elder Kings, what can we expect for this mod. Will dragons be somehow integrated? Will there be dragon attack and dragon slaying events? What about an Alduin/Ka Po' Tun god character?

I guess we'll have to wait until ZOS's stream on Monday night to get more concrete details. But it is still fun to speculate!

There are already dragons in the SVN, but I don't think every single event of eso is going to be put in, since the events concerning dragons will probably be dungeons - hidden places where dragons try not to be bothered by mortals.

Makes sense, but we'll see what Monday night brings.

The Mod Devs will move away from the ESO time period for now, going on to Tiber and the 3rd Era. As maintaining updating content alongside ESO would just take too much time. After they have reached the Skyrim Era, perhaps, they'll return to the ESO one and continue work on it.

That makes sense as ESO moves at breakneck speed with development compared to the single player games.

I'd love to see the tiger-dragon added into the game. Going to have to look for fanart and hope I don't stumble into ... deviancy.

I'm not familiar with ESO, so what kind of things does it add to Elsweyr, besides very Skyrim-reminiscent dragons that were probably added for people who want a "Skyrim 2"? And what do dragons do? From the trailer it seems there are only 3 of them, and they will probably be some kinds of bosses given it's an MMO.

At least it will be lore friendly that bosses respawn to be killed over and over ad nauseum. If there's no dragonborn to nom their souls anyway.

But the dragons needed Alduin to revive them otherwise they just stay as a corpse.

To be fair, we don't know that for sure. There's no reason a sufficiently powerful dragon wouldn't be able to do the same thing, especially if said dragon is associated with Alkosh/Is the Alduin equivalent for the Khajiiti pantheon. We don't know what the story of ESO: E is going to be, I wouldn't be surprised if it involved Alkosh.

We now know they are hiding inside the Halls of Colossus and are broken out by the Wrathstone Tablet. So it appears that Kaalgrontiid, the leader of the Elsweyr dragons, goes out and tries to let the other ones locked away out. Their will also be dragon hunts, so they are definitely out in the open. I'm also sure Alkosh will have some role to play. But yes, they are in the open.

hopefully this means they have another free trial period. I uninstalled it from steam after the last one and I cant remember the name of the character i created for ESO so i can use it for my ck2 rp save. The only way i can probably access it is to reinstall and get to the title screen :l
