I. Víkingr frá Esthland - Vikings from Estonia known also as Oeselians, Saarlased the islanders. These tough people live on thousands of islands around shores of Estonia since ancient times. Foreigners describe them as fearless sailors and pirates. We shall make use of them and their experience.
II. Brotherhood of Blackheads - Association of local unmarried merchants, ship owners and foreigners established to protect cities of Livonia against pagans. When pagans were not a threat anymore Brotherhood committed itself to defend the cities from any enemy invasion, for this they conscripted detachments of well armed cavalry.
III. Olevi gild - Named after the patron St. Olaf, Olaf Guild was uniting all kind of artisans, butchers, furriers, brewers, carpenters, gravediggers and many other. Unlike Püha Kanuti gild, Olevi gild accepted people regardless of their nationality and religion.
IV. Academia Gustaviana - The Academia Gustaviana, one of the oldest universities in Northern Europe was founded by King of Sweden Gustavus Adolphus in 1632 in lieu of Jesuit grammar school Gymnasium Dorpatense, founded by Stefan Batory. Altough it was established by one of the foreign overlords to mark its power Academia shall well serve us and our country.
V. Jaanipäev - Midsummer's Eve, called by Christians as St John's Eve, is a festival of fertility, a time when people gather to light bonfires, drink, dance, sing and perform pagan rituals such as searching for the flower of the fern which is said to bloom only on that night.
VI. Sables and Squirrels - Our eastern neighbours may not be counted among the peaceful one, but they sure can see possibilities which gives trade and our merchants from Reval and Dorpat are lucky to be those who control luxurious trade of sable and squirrel furs between Russia and Low Countries.
VII. Regilaul and Torupill - “Üle lendsi, linnukene,
üle lendsi ilma kõige,
üle ilma suure järve,
üle ilmatse keriku.”
Regilaul the runo-song is a kind of old folk song passed from one generation to another over hundred years. Composed of three important components, words, melody and rendition. There are different types of regilaul, work songs, moralistical and family related songs, legends themed. Very often runo-songs are accompanied by Torupill, local bagpipe. Such rich music tradition shall help our people make it through hard times.
Few words about traditions ambitions and fourth idea. Traditions are based on peasantry laws which were quite strict and just. Ambitions is based on that stoic behaviour of Estonians who faced quite plenty of aggressors and migrants.
There is also a quite problem with Academia Gustaviana, it's placed in Dorpat/Tartu which in EUIV is a city located in province of latvian culture and Estonia has no cores on it.
But tbh after years of fighting PDX just to get "improved" and a bit more logical provinces in Poland/Hungary I will leave problem of fixing Livonia to someone else. (at least Memel is not a square anymore..)
