Yes that is my problem. I bought EU2 when I were in Sweden about three days ago. I am Finnish. When I insert the cd and click "Install" button in the autorun dialog, the setup starts to load, and when fully loaded gives a following error message:
"Error occured while launching the setup (0x80040801)."
This is fuckin unfortunate 'cos I can't go back to Sweden for a long time, and I don't think I can find my Åhlens reference anymore...
Already when buying the game I weren't sure I should've bought from abroad, 'cos with any problems I wouldn't be able to change it. The cd was in a tight plastic foliothing, so it couldn't have been scratched...though it was full of small itches and cracks (ver small anyway!) when i took it off the plastic thing.
So is it so that I wasted my money, and can only cry, or is there anygood way out, 'cos I won't buy this game again, or at least until it's under 40 or 30 € (about 320 and 270 Swedish crowns, I bought the game for 395 crowns). I know that EU2 is a good game, I tested it in a Finnish shop before I left, and thought it would be cheaper in Sweden, and as it is a Swedish game, it would be fun to buy form there
