EU 2 Patch 1.02 Doesn't install

I have tried to install the EU 2 patch 1.02 but it simply states that the game hasn't been installed and aborts installation.
I have tried restarting my computer and playing the game before applying the patch. I have also checked whether it is registered by windows 98 which seems to be the case as it uninstalls perfectly.

My system is specs are:

Intel pentium III 450Mhz
256MB RAM
Gforce 2 32MB 200 MX
Soundblaster Live
40 GB HD
OS: Win 98

This usually means you are using the wrong 1.02 patch. The patch has to match the publisher of your EU2 edition. Let us know who the publisher of your game is if this doesn't help.

the patch is only available for US version (Strategy First as publisher). If you have the Nordic version, it should be patched to 1.02 already.
