"EU CD not found"

I've just reinstalled EU after upgrading my PC, including moving to XP. The game installs fine, the patch installs fine, but when I try to start the game I get an "EU CD not found" error message.

The CD is in, BTW - the autoplay works fine, but the game won't run when I hit the "play" button.

The best I can work out is that the game presumes the CD drive is the D: drive, while I've mapped mine as the Y: drive.

Any other thoughts? Better yet, any fixes?

I'm quite sure it is that. remap it to D: , it's easy to do in Win XP.

you can also try to disable autoplay.

reaction to EU CD not found

I'm having the same problem, but while using windows 98. It occurs after installing patch 1.10. I do not know how to fix it, so I would really like to know who does.....

uninstall the game and re-install it.

EU CD not found

I have tried that a couple of times, but it keeps on giving this message. I've also tried installing both the English and the Benelux-version, but that doesn't make any difference as well. I welcome any other suggestions,

follow this procedure to uninstall the game:

given you have two different versions, it's possible there is some kind of conflict in the registry, or some file left on the hdd.
