I have problems with EU II that I have never encountered in other games.
In addition to all crashes to the desktop I know encounter a new
more serious problem when I surrender a game.
After choosing surrender and quit I directly go to the desktop
without being showed my points achieved so far. There is then
a message 'Illegal instruction performed'. This has happened in many other programs as well. But what's different is that with
EU II the problems don't start here.
The first time this happened I tried start another program with the result that this also crashed with 'Illegal instruction performed', and after that when I tried to reboot I was told that
the registry had been corrupted and it should be fixed by the OS. After that my system is messed up. I can't uninstall some programs etc.
Now the EU II crashes in this way every time I exit the program and after that I have problems with turning the computer off.
(so I run scandisc all the time after reseting my computer)
I use EU II 1.05 nordic (I play spain)
I have tried with Win 98 SE, Win ME
I have 256M Athlon XP 1800+ VIA KT333 Asus V8170 graphics
(upgrading drivers didnt solved the problem) card Sone 52X CD drive 60 Gb harddrive SB Audigo card Lucent 56k modem.

A new patch is really needed so we can enjoy a otherwise good game.

what is your video card?
what is your DirectX version?

it will remove your Nvidia drivers and then you can make a clean install of the newest drivers. Quite often this trick will work.

I have installed the latest drivers sucessfully. Now the problem
seems to be that after quiting the game through surrender my desktop switches to 800*600. My desktop should be at 1024*768
it is alst that resolution that I run EU II in.

the last one is a nasty bug for wich no fix is currently available :(
