EU Rome fail to startup

Hi Support,

I juz installed the EU Rome Gold edition. After registration and applying the latest update (now the version is 2.2) and start the game, error showed up - naming as
"the application or DLL c:\WINDOWS\WinSxS/x86_Microsoft.VC80.OpenMP_1fc8b3b9a1e8e3b_8.0.50727.762_x-ww_6C18549A\vcomp.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette"

Please help.

This is not a known issue with the game itself. vcomp.dll is a Windows file. It would seem your Windows installation has a problem. Try the fix listed in the "JIT/side-by-side" sticky thread at the top of this forum. If that doesn't help I can only suggest copying it from a working machine, or otherwise seeking Windows/Microsoft help.
