Absolutely

This is what really gets me about a lot of games today, no server ! It is such a trial going through the process of getting someone elses IP address that it's almost a complete waste of time, if you have a server then it acts a good base for the internet community of that game and encourages a lot more gameplay over the net.

Just my 2 cents.

EU SERVER

GET ONE GOING PLZ

'SIR HAVING BROUGHT THE ARMY BELONGING TO THE PARLIAMENT OF ENGLAND BEFORE THIS PLACE,TO REDUCE IT TO OBEDIENCE
TO THE END EFFUSION OF BLOOD MAY BE PREVENTED,I THOUGHT FIT TO SUMMON YOU TO DELIVER THE SAME INTO OUR HANDS FOR OUR USE.IF THIS BE REFUSED,YOU WILL HAVE NO CAUSE TO BLAME ME. I EXPECT YOUR ANSWER AND REST YOUR SERVANT'.

Re: Agree....

like homeworld

its the best system out

cheers

Server now! It would be a fantastic way to promote the company and the game and would allow me to discard any remaining trapping of my previous life before I got this game...

IP Listing

Perhaps paradox can write a script like the one sudden strike uses to announce mp games?

It wrks like this, the host takes note of his ip n goes to this site to advertise his ip. those interested in playing takes note of the ip n then joins in.

I spit on the zone.

Set up an independant server like Starcraft had. The game was your typical RTS humbug, but it had the best multiplayer setup I've seen and it came out years ago. You just clicked 'multiplayer' on the title page and off you went to smack around pre-teens all night long. No middle man!

geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez ppl

everyone talking about thezone but that isnt helping anyone
doesent anyone have a t3+ line or something
and a fast computer that are willing to be acting as server?
or better can paradox open a server like blizzards bnet
just a idea u know....

Why not have some MP monsters with decent connections (like me) establish selfhost sites (like mine at greghacke.selfhost.com) I don't know yet if you can use the site name vice an IP, but if it works, you can just post something like:
