As the King of Prussia... (note that I reigned somewhere inbetween Frederick Wilhelm I and Frederick the Great) I completely support an EU server! There should be perhaps...

North American Server

Northern and Western Europe Server

Southern and Eastern Europe Server

Global Server

4 servers. the global could be twice as big as a regular server

just my ideas

I Have an Idea

I've been kicking around this idea for a little while now on problem of no server.
Why not put up a website that has a number of Chat rooms where players could meet? For example you could have a North American Room, a European Room, and a Rest of World Room.... or chat rooms divided by time zones.....
There are sites out there as well that offer free chat rooms available to put on your web site.
My web building skills are pretty minimal so I'm not sure what the drawbacks are or even if this is practical but It seems to me that it would work.
Any thoughts?

A general chatting area to set up games is needed

Just have a general chat server for setting up games between players - similar to what westwood came up with when Red Alert first came out.

I must admit, I would be very hesitant about using the Zone, what with it being a part of the Evil Empire and all, esecially with the current level of 'security' that they offer...

Also, I am definitely for a setup like Battle.net or even a server finder like most first-person shooters have (like Quake 3, halflife, etc), as that would allow for naming of games, and joinging of games.

Paradox should definitely be thinking about this.
