Hi folks. I'm not that new to paradox games. Started with Crusader Kings, moved than to Victoria:Revolutions to find it a much more appealing game for my taste, than tried out the Deus Vult expansion to only be reminded again what I missed in CK and only partially found in Victoria. And so I've overlooked EU2 up to a couple of weeks, considering it a kind of prototype of Victoria, not worth the 15€ . It could be only me faced with a new challenge, but for now EU2 has just the perfect mix of features and overall atmosphere that makes it by far my favorite paradox game, followed by Victoria. So let's get to the point.

I've have played almost only the Deluxe version of AGCEEP v1.54 mod, which should be the most recent one. After reading through some AARs, I also came across MyMAP map modification, and I must say I really liked what I saw. I would like to ask if those two mods are compatible. If so, what are the effects on the grand campaign played on MyMAP? Are there any plans or ideas of adopting MyMAP by AGCEEP, possibly as an add-on? Or are the developers of AGCEEP working on another map project? I would really appreciate any information on these questions. Thank you very much in advance.

:edit:

I maybe should have posted this in the modifications sub-forum, sorry.

As for the full combo, AGCEEP is working (for the last 2 years  ) on a new map, based on MadKingJames' map, which was the basis for MyMap also.

ETA is "when it's done", so don't get too hopeful.

Thank you for the swift reply! That's about all I needed to know. I may try a MyMAP game, but I will stick to AGCEEP for the balanced gameplay it provides, in expectation for the new versions to come... I could imagine that adding so much new provinces could change the balance of power in MyMAP. Though these are just wild guesses of mine, I will have to try it out first.

AFAIK, version of AGCEEP events included in MyMap is 1.39 (december 2005).

See PatchInfo154.txt of AGCEEP to have an idea of how much AGCEEP evolved since two years.

I'm still waiting for your monetary donation but then, I haven't got my hopes up. :(

I've spent an interesting afternoon reading the boards, learning much about EU; now it's time to go back to my campaign. The mere fact that the team has devotedly developed AGCEEP over the years speaks for itself. As long as it is being worked on a new map it will come out eventually. And it is, right? :D

Anyway, one last question I'd like to ask. Is there a Unlimited Time Patch that is compatible with AGCEEP? I found the one by Moctezuma here. Is that the only UTP for EU2 out there? I doesn't even say for what version of the vanilla game it is ...

It works perfectly for both vanilla 1.09 and 1.08 - that I am sure of, for I'm using it with both. And yes, it is compatible - for the UTP is not a mod by itself, it's just a little program modifying the EU2.exe file, making it possible to play before and/or after the game's regular time span. You can apply it to the EU2 with AGCEEP you have and then play after the game should end in 1819 - however, with that date all the historical monarch/leaders/events will end, so you will have a king like Stanislaus August Poniatowski (last ruling king of Poland in vanilla EU2) ruling until you decide to end the game, which might be at 2546 AD :p.

Therefore, you can try other mods, like the Age of Imperialism, where you can play one of several scenarios, starting in 1337 and ending with 1914. Other choices are the Mongol Empire Scenario (1150-1419), another one I don't recall the name of that spans from 476 till 819... And a plenty of others, some pure fantasy, like the Independent Europe Scenario or Aberration/Interregnum.

And pray... maybe the map will come.
Where?

The donation? On Garbon's bank account. :)
Account and routing numbers? Check made out to whom and sent where? PayPal address?

I would be happy to donate if it meant the map was available a little sooner. :D

Or at least some more components I could work with as I build Interregnum 2 around it.
