EU2, Music doesnt play

Problem: No music during play, sound effects however work fine, no other problems evident

System: 1.5 mhz Pentium 4, 256mb RAM, SB Live card, Windows ME as operating system, drivers are current for sound card as too is DirectX

The MP3 files are present on the hard disk, and play when double clicked, they just dont play in game (game version is 1.04). Wasnt aware I had a problem til a friend that I have converted to EU2 praised the music so I thought I'd turn it on only to find out I'd never turned it off (vol is set to 99)

Any advice would be appreciated.

run EU2 Settings, in the same menu were you lauch the game and enable the music.

Grr, I've run EU2 from a desktop shortcut for so long I'd forgotten about those start bar settings.
