Has anyone gotten EU2 running on a Mac using Virtual PC? I've got a Mac G4, OS9.2.2, and Virtual PC 4. The installation went through without a hitch, but when I try to start upp the game, I get the hourglass for about 5 seconds...Then nothing. Tell me there is a way for this to work!!

How is it on a Mac? Is it slow, does it crash often? I'd be interested to know...

It is a tad bit slow. The biggest problem is that the mouse cursor move in a somewhat jerky manner. Other than that, its not too bad. I've had 2 crashes that occur when I start a scenario...It crashes right back to the desktop. But most of the time, things seem to chug along fine.

All in all, I'm just glad its working. Now I need to figure out how everything works. This game is very in-depth.

check the FAQ forum for game tips, it will be useful.

About speed, well, the game is already a tad slow on PC, but with patch 1.03 things will be better. Maybe upgrading to VPC 5.0 could give you some speed increase. :)

According to SVM Mac (French magazine) VP 5 is slower actually.
That's for general purposes but should apply to games & EU2

Oops! :D

I'll stop telling mac user to upgrade then, it seems the company propaganda isn't true at all :(

VPC 5 Speend vs more memory

VPC5 allows you to allocate as much RAM as you have to VPC (as opposed to, I think 128MB) in VPC4. More RAM is better in EU2! I've run 375MB.

The newest patch will fix these performance issues, however, given you needed a crack to bypass the copy protection, the newest patch won't work right-away :(

Point taken. If you can't afford much more RAM stick to VPC 4 :)
