Is there a reason why the latest version/installation of the game still comes bundled with a launcher that's two versions (?) behind? I've had to restart twice to arrive at the newest version.

I was able to unlock achievements with the current beta version, so there shouldn’t be

It seems to have worked for me. It said my game may be incompatible because it's a different version, but the achievements icon is still highlighted in game. I've advanced a full month tick past where the game had been crashing and I've had no issues. So as I can tell, this bug has also been patched without corrupting your save files.
After restarting steam I still can't see the patch in betas menu. Any ideas how to fix?

When testing a patch (or even a new version) it is also always prudent to open the Workshop (if on Steam) choose "Subscribed Mods" and then "Unsubscribe from All" (you can always re-subscribe when the next stable version is out).
Doing this helped me to avoid messes with other games too (not all of them by Paradox).
Will the bug with vassals not getting LD reduction from land given in a peace deal be fixed in a hotfix? Didn't see it mentioned here.
Tried 8 games. Ottomans have been nerfed real bad. Mamluks and catholics crushing it everytime. Russia nerfed as well

Also as ethiopia, i converted my vassal from sunni to orthodox so it was - 100 liberty desire
Then mission where you get the option to reply the mamluks for treating the copts in Egypt badly. Then my vassal became from hostile to loyal, liberty desire still at - 100

Is there going to be a fix for the "development cost from Army Tradition" for those of us using EPIC? The game went to unplayable after your update. I'm not sure from what you posted if you are ever going to be able to be fixed the problem on non-steam accounts.
Didn't see it in the patch notes but this beta also fixed tribal development not growing from buildings / base growth for me.
Means you will have to wait for a non-beta patch unfortunately. My guess is next week, it usually is.
so how much was it lowered to? there are quite a lot of PU's in the various game missions
Also, has anyone checked how this change affects Claim Throne mechanic? Has it been also lowered?
I don't want to start the war just to find out what would be the AE for enforcing PU over given nation.... To be honest with you I don't wanna use claim throne button (if my plan is go to war) at all if the AE gonna be crazy. It's realy annoying...
