Hello there! My Eu4 suffers from slow speed and stutters. I have not suffered these issues before, as the game would run fast, with little slowdowns, even in late game.

Yeah, at this point the game is litterally unplayable, im a 2400 hrs eu4 player and the game has never been this bad, in the late 1500 my game litterally goes 1fps at every speed, and i have a high tier computer, it's so sad to see eu4 in this state, and my biggest fear is that this will never be properly fixed, i don't wanna quit playing eu4, but at the same time, i don't wanna play at 1 - 5 fps with stutters...

Can you post a save where this is happening?

Hey man, sorry if i did not reply, lot of things happening in my life recently, and i didn't really play eu4 or look at the forum, by the way i don't have that save anymore, if im not wrong it was a mongol empire game.
now, this keeps happening, i made a new campaign.
it is a "it's all greek to me" campaign and i did the achievement, there's a lot of entities and that's probably the cause, by the way, im gonna send you the savefile.

I tried your save. On my laptop with an intel i5-6500T with an HD Graphics 530 on Linux, I get between 10 and 15 FPS on speed 5, except during the month tick and to pass one year it takes about 90 seconds. And on my desktop with a Ryzen 5600 and an nvidia GTK 1660 super on windows 11, I get about 20-30 FPS on speed 5 and 60 FPS on speed 4(except during month ticks) and a year takes 34 seconds, most of which are spend on month ticks and auto-saving. I didn't notice any stuttering except the small freezes during month ticks.
Do you get the stuttering/low FPS also during the month? Then the problem is probably not in the save itself and instead there is probably something on your system which is different and triggering the problem. Have you tried if the different display modes (borderless/windowed fullscreen, normal fullscreen or windowed) make a difference? And have you tried it without any mods? Maybe one of your UI/map mods is triggering the problem.

First i would like to thank you for the response after nearly 2 months of me not replying to you.
Secondly, Yes i actually tried quite everything, even with toaster universalis this problem persist, im playing on ssd too so it's not an hard drive issue, the average fps after 1600 is 7 at speed 4 with stutters during the month which forces me to play at speed 2 only to play at 10 fps but without stutters, and trust me, it's painful...
im playing on a 2k euro gaming pc and i don't see how my system could be the problem, i'll try again to remove my Map mod but as i said nothing changed last time, even because it's a pretty popular mod in the workshop and everyone uses it, even eu4 content creators.
if it helps i can tell you my pc specs.
Thanks for your time and patience.
P.S. sorry for my bad english, it's not my primary language :(

I'm not saying that your system is too slow. But there are one or more issues which are causing stuttering for some people with high end hardware while they don't cause issues for others(e.g. my two computers). I don't know if everybody has the same issue or if there are multiple which can cause stuttering. It could be for example a wrong configuration, driver incompatibility, hardware issue or some external program which interferes.
The reason that I asked for a save is that there are some causes of stuttering which only happen in some ingame situations(e.g. autonomous sieging can slow down the game by a lot in some cases and some peace AI peace deal calculations have freezed the game for up to 5 minutes in some versions) and which affect every player who loads the same save. But that's not the problem in your save, because it runs normally on my systems.

Maybe you can post your dxdiag output. That would show your PC specs and might indicate some problems. And your settings.txt and system.log file might also help
