EUII Patch does not recognize COTN version

I recently bought a version of COTN that contains EUII, installed both games, then downloaded the EUII 1.0.7 patch. However the EUII patch does not recognize EUII as being installed on my machine. The version that comes with COTN appears to be 1.0.0.1. Should the 1.0.7 patch work?

CotN is already patched to 1.07. Any further patches for CotN have to be downloaded from Srategy First.

Not to belabour the point further but I just feel the need to ask a redundent question nevertheless...

I've made it a habit to pick up any spare EU2 cd I can find and send it to my strategy loving friends. Was thinking of picking up COTN to get the 'new' game and have an extra copy of EU on the sly. Soo.. the question, does this version of EU work exactly as my tried and trusted SF copy? SF patches and (most importantly) Johan's betas will work without a hitch?

Thanks a lot... after a few allnighters with Vicky a nice simple game of intrigue sounds like fun

no, they dont. at least on MY copy they dont. SF did something to the executable, and now nothing from paradox will work on it.

(I wont even mention the mess that trying to use EEP made)

Yeah, SF surely did something to thier release of CotN. SF CotN-Eu2 1.07 is not supported by Paradox. Such technical difficulties pertaining to it should be directed to Strategy First.

SF's support section sends you back HERE when yuo ask about EU2.
hows that for messed up?
i think Patrick needs to make some phone calls...
