"Europa Universalis: Rome is not installed"

Recently i got the urge to play this game again, and so downloaded EU:R Gold from GG. I had loaded it up before and though IIRC there were issues, but they were sorted out, but eventually I had uninstalled it. Now, dl goes according to plan, but on install after installing some .cab? files to a temp folder, it completely skips over the EU:R base files and so when the time comes several seconds later to install VV it says "Europa Universalis: Rome is not installed" and then "Vae Victis is not installed" on trying to install 2.1 (which included in the GG dl.) I have looked at previous threads and others have had the same problem, but using regedit to remove ROME and VICTIS has not worked (for the reason that they were not there, only vea_victis_is1 was.) Any help?

Rome Gold from GG already includes VV, there's no need for it to install separately. Just install Gold, and patch 2.32 if it's not already installed by GG, and you'e good to go.

No, it is in the same download, jut the different steps of the install are screwed up in the way I described above. When I try to install all I am left with licence_ENG.txt (or something like that.) Basically I am installing Gold, but the Rome part of the install doesn't go through, which makes it so the following parts can't be installed as they rely on that.

That must be a GG problem then, the installer is nothing to do with us. Try support@gamersgate.com .
