So whose up for it?

Basically I think it is possible to have a convertable game from EU:R to CK:DV although there will be somewhat alot of "geussing" inregards what fills up the 600 years between when Rome ends and when CK begins.

Some thoughts: I think no matter what that Turkish and Muslim jihads would force even the best possible Roman control outcome in Persia and Iraq out so I think we could and should have the Seljuks controlling Persia/Iraq maybe a little more powerful to account for a possibly stronger Rome/Byzantium.

I don't know how CK generates dynasties and courtiers but quite a bit of random dynasty and courtier generation needs to be done.

I think every province should directly convert "ownership" to the relevent counties and the duke titles should also be created with the duke being a vassal of which ever nation converted with most control of counts.

All of russia should be placed as it is in the default 1066 scenario and scandinavia as well.

The only issue is that potentially alot of land may be still uncolonized upon conversion, I would vote make these convert as Pagan controlled count, dukes, and kings where applicable.

And we should make sure that within certain percentage that the majority of characters made wont have their dynasties go extinct within 1 year.

Now the question is how could we factor in the possibility that Rome may survive to CK this way, just assume in the 600 year gap they became Byzantium through potentially enevitable historical circumstance?

Your thoughts.

I like the idea. and I think that the shift to byzantium was historically enevitable. Hell just look at how strong the greek religion is, and they are still the majority ethnic group. Byzantine is basically a grecified roman empire anyhow. So I would say it would definitely have to switch to byzantine controlling most, because the economic weakness in the west and the barbarian hordes that happened in the interim 500 years to destroy the empire still would happen. And doesnt CK start in 1088? That is a 1000 years of history no?
