After several peacefull years, war was comming closer. Hence lots of money was spend on fortifying England itself, along will building CC's almost all over Europe.
A few attempts was made with the OE, for a fair war over the remaining greek provinses on the Balkans, but the OE was clearly not interested in this, and since we didn't want a war against the full alliance of Spain, France and OE vs. England alone, we decided to wait for the unholy alliance of catholics and muslims to make the first move.
While occupied elsewhere in the vast realm, the combined attack of the unholy alliances vast fleet of several thousend ships was quite a surprise to us, and hence 2/3 of out outnumbered fleet was lost even thou the navalbattle itself was won.
Seeking refuge in London habour, new ships were imediately ordered in all shipyards in England. Outnumbered however, all ports were bloakaded, which meant that our shipbuilding ability was severly hempered.
In the meantime the entire English army was trapped in England prime, while both France and OE made a few futile attempts on landing in England itself. Those armies were quickly defeated and routed.
After several years our navy was rebuild enough to target the weakest part of the bloakade. At this point the Spanish made some mistakes while having sieges almost all of Eireland. The English navi managed to sneak out and while the spanish navy was searching for it, the navy launched itself at the french bloakade outside Edinbourg. Thou reinforced the french suffered all total loss which lead to the retreat of all spanish, french and OE naval forces to Brest. This let out the entire English navy which is still outnumbered but eager to fight again.
