Event during pilgrimage referring to my "murder" trait but I never commited any murder

Description​

During a pilgrimage, an event occurred as a chance to atone for being a murderer. As per screenshot attached, the game implies I have a "murderer" trait, but I actually don't have this trait. In the two pictures attached you can see that I have no secrets nor the murderer trait.

During another pilgrimage, maybe this event can occurr again.

I ran into something similar as well.

This event (pilgrimage.6750) is clearly written as if it is about one of your *own* secrets, but what it actually does is it takes a secret you *know* about someone *else*, and you have the option to remove that other person's secret for stress. I your case, one of the murderers you know would no longer be a murderer because you repented for them.

...My personal opinion: Even if this event correctly removed your *own* secrets, it would not really make sense. You are not suddenly "not a murderer" or "not an adulterer" because you repented. It would make more sense for things like deviancy, witchcraft, etc., but even then other people who already know your secret would still have the corresponding evidence.

Yes I completely agree with your opinion: I would simply remove this kind of event if I were in Paradox. It doesn't make sense practically. There may be other ways to achieve similar benefits, other kind of events...

They have to rewrite it in a sense to make it more clear what it means and to who it reflects (as it might be for someone you care but also some random courtier then so you can pick)

Doing penance for others was a common thing in the past in Christianity as well. How it reflects to Hinduism I not know but they likely also have these 'martyr' like penance notions?

So in Christianity it is reflected as Jesus dying for the sin, so you suffer for another sin and that brings salvation etc... A theme common in more religions based on some forms compassion and forgiveness and humbleness.
