Medical School is over for the year, so I will try to post more often again. Which may not be much, because I will have to keep studying.

Anyhow, the story of Our Lady of Aparecida is an most interesting one. The patron saint of Brazil, and since the designation by H.R.H. Princess-heir Dona Isabel, also the Generalíssima of Brazilian armies.

Originally I was going to add the second incarnation of her shrine in my Monuments list for Brazil, similar to what I did in my Monument Ideas for México with Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, but I already have monument ideas in São Vicente, Santos and Rio de Janeiro, so one in Santo Amaro would make too many concentrated in one place. That is why it ocurred to me to make it as an event that grants a permanent bonus to the province and a free Cathedral.

To keep the historiography short, and acting based on the works of Gilberto Freyre, Brazil is particularly proud of having a Black-skinned Virgin Mary as its patron saint given how it is the country that most received African "relocates" in the Americas. Similar to what happened to the amerindians in México, Our Lady of Aparecida greatly helped christianise the slaves and the push for an abolitionist cause (which D. Pedro I, D. Pedro II and Dona Isabel greatly supported, being notable that shortly before D. Pedro i declared independence from Portugal, he had visted the cathedral just a few days prior.

So, related to my Slaves estate idea, Slave Revolts rebels type and Slave Raids mechanic, this events reduces the impact of having a high number of slaves on stability costs, grants a free cathedral for Santo Amaro and increases its tax revenue by (x)%. I am not sure of when the event should trigger, but maybe having a fixed date would be better than having conditiond that would trigger it.
