Don't know if it is a good idea, but I just thought - would it be possible to create an event, in which your kids, if they were arbitrary enough and disliked their parents, would marry without their parents accept?
I would imagine it would give some difficulties in parenting them, and cause some great cases, where you would either be forced to accept their choice, or try to kill them off... Or perhaps other cases, where your kids would marry someone WAY higher ranking person, surprising you that they could actually make better arrangement than you ever would? Or maybe your heir, whom you expect so much from, runs away with his secret love, deflecting to some other place... Or perhaps they simply would refuse your choice of marriage, or have your wife deside instead?

Just ideas, but do you think they would add anything, or just be stupid?
