Event pop up doesn't show the effects

Hello,

I recently downloaded Victoria and the expansion. My very first event, some military choice, does not show the effects of the choice i make, instead when i hover the mouse over the 2 choices it shows a very small blank window.

I re installed the game and after that i was able to see the effects of that particular event, but on a new started game thereafter the problem was there again.

I had 3 events, 1 social and 2 military...only the social one showed the effects of choice made.

At this point WAD - the event simply sets the military doctrine you will get, and as that does not immediately change anything for you, it shows no effect. That comes later when the military doctine that you choose pops up.

Where can you go to find out the effects it will have later on down the road? Tech tree?
