As a Dutch player with over 1,000 hours in EU4, I would love to see the following events implemented for the Low Countries.
  1. 1337 – Hundred Years’ War begins
    • Flanders caught between France and England due to wool trade.
    • Political instability grows in French-aligned cities.
  2. 1345 – Death of William IV of Holland
    • Succession crisis in Holland and Zeeland.
    • Power vacuum leads to internal strife.
  3. 1347–1351 – The Black Death
    • Heavy population loss throughout the Low Countries.
    • Long-term urban decline and rural labor shifts.
  4. 1350–1490 – Hook and Cod Wars
    • Ongoing civil war between factions in Holland.
    • Cities (Cod faction) vs. nobles (Hook faction).
  5. 1356 – Joyous Entry in Brabant
    • Early constitutional document limiting ducal power.
    • Recognition of urban autonomy.

Reactions:
My pre-Republic early modern history is a bit fuzzy, but I remember that water works already started in this period. Even under traditional feudalism, political relations became more egalitarian between counts and commoners, especially due to the high level of expertise required on behalf of farmers who drained the lands.

Anddddd maybe something with…??

1363 – Philip the Bold inherits Burgundy
  • Beginning of Burgundian expansion into the Low Countries (sets up future unification)

This probably won't happen without major railroading. The current Burgundian dukes (who are inheriting quite a few French counties) weren't famously infertile to justify it.
